Here is part two of the Power Records Book and Record set THE INCREDIBLE HULK AT BAY. Like the other superhero entries in the Power Records series this is a reprint of an Marvel Comics title. If you pick up ESSENTIAL INCREDIBLE HULK VOL 3 (or own copies of the original issues such as myself….or the MARVEL SUPERHEROES reprint series) you can check out the 2 part Rhino storyline and the (somewhat humorous) one part Abomination story that set this up. The Hulk remains one of my all-time favorite titles, but I have to admit I really did not like his early stories in TALES TO ASTONISH nor did I really like the 1968 – 1973 issues of THE INCREDIBLE HULK that followed the cancellation of TALES TO ASTONISH. However, by 1974 the writing in THE INCREDIBLE HULK became quite excellent. Granted, this particular story (while a fun tale) is not all that well written most of the Hulk tales from the era were quite good/ I did not read the original issue as it appeared in the 1974 issue of THE INCREDIBLE HULK and am not sure if this particular book and record set is a composite of more than one issue as many Power Records sets were. (THE MAN THING set was an edited version of two issues) When this is reprinted with ESSENTIAL INCREDIBLE HULK VOL 4.
