The Classic Daredevil #163 Cover
Here is something that I have just come up with mainly
because I thought it would be fun. Every so often, I will run a comic book
cover that always struck as super cool. This classic cover to Daredevil #163
remains one of the very best covers I have ever seen. Anyone can draw a cover,
but the pencils of Frank Miller crafted one of the most brilliant covers you
could imagine.
There are a number of things that a cover should convey. The
most important element is the ability to convey curiosity. Specifically, what
is it about the comic that makes you want to flip it open and look inside. Or,
more importantly, will make you want to purchase the issue. It should also
leave you with the feeling that the issue will be something so special that no
other book on the shelves contains anything else that even remotely compares to
it.
Such is the case with Daredevil #163 since we see an EXTREMELY over matched Daredevil being cornered by The Hulk. Of course, the Hulk is a HERO so that makes the proceedings even more intriguing because this will not be a standard hero vs. villain story.
