Len Wein is another fantastic comic book writing legend who has been crafting a ton of great stories for many decades. He is most well known for his work on SWAMP THING and while those stories were pretty amazing, I personally dug his 1970’s work on THE INCREDIBLE HULK. (BTW – He did write an excellent episode of the 1990’s Hulk cartoon that featured The Wendigo) One of his newer works is the very excellent Final Crisis Secret Files #1 - The Origin of Libra. FINAL CRISIS has been an excellent series and many of the tie-ins to the series have been brilliantly written as well. This issue takes the rather minor character of Libra and heads him in the direction of being a major player. While this all well and good as furthering the narrative of the FINAL CRISIS story arcs, this issue also provides a thought provoking look into what makes a villain a villain. No, I will not provide too much description of the actual story mainly because I do not want to give too much away, but suffice to say…you will look at Libra from a different perspective after reading this issue.
