I had written a piece on Dynamite Entertainment's Lone Ranger comic so I started thinking about the old Clayton Moore television series of yesteryear. It was a program that I enjoyed dearly as a kid mainly because it provided enjoyable western entertainment while maintaining the wonder of a super hero comic. No, the Lone Ranger was not hero like Batman or Superman. Like his relative the Green Hornet, he was an average guy that had a talent for shooting while never actually hurting anyone. He also provided a great role model for the young ones and he did so in a believable manner. That was all due to Clayton Moore's brilliant portrayal of the character.
