Just a quick heads up here…I am going to spend the next few weeks reading through all my copies of the classic manga AKIRA. I first discovered this classic work when I was in High School and read the first 20 issues or so. It remained a very intriguing manga and one of my all-time favorites. Unfortunately, the size of the complete story rendered a heavy price for purchasing the issues. Thankfully, a number of discounts over the years have allowed me the ability to purchase the entire series. Of course, in addition to purchasing the issues, I need to read them as well. (Who wudda thunk?) I have a little time now after the holidays and that means I can finally invest a little time in reading the whole thing from beginning to end. Hey, it only took me 20 years to do so. Maybe that is some kind of new record?
