While it is totally cool that there has been an official DVD release of the 1960’s Spiderman cartoons, it is somewhat disasppointing that the “coming next week” previews were not included. Well, I really can’t complain about that too much because they did not appear all the time when the show was syndicated. I do remember seeing a few here and there but I am pretty sure that they were edited out of 90+% of the broadcasts. This would make sense considering the fact that commercials could be put in their place. UHF stations needed to make money and a few extra minutes of previews to kids who were going to watch the program anyway didn’t make much sense. But, now we have YouTube and it is home to all those cool trailers.
