I just wanted to briefly mention that the current issues of Daredevil are leading into the long awaited return of the Kingpin. One thing that needs to be said about the presence of the Kingpin in Daredevil is that his appearances remain unique and engaging. This is not the case with other villains in other books. I remember many years back as a little kid reading comics featuring The Joker and Doctor Octopus and realizing that these villains have become so overexposed that they lost much of their appeal. With the Kingpin, the character was presented in a manner where he remained strong. You may beat his minions and you may get a minor victory, but The Kingpin always figured out a way to stay on top amidst the mayhem.

As I mentioned in previous posts, the new Lady Bullseye character has proven to be a unique and original villainess and her appearances have been pretty engaging. It looks like the story arcs that will start with Daredevil 117 will feature The Kingpin teaming with Daredevil to deal with Lady Bullseye and The Hand. Well, that is what I assume the plot will be about but I am not 100% sure. We’ll find out next month. Either way, the result is sure to be pretty good…….
