On a side note, back in the 1980’s Russ Cochran publishing put out that amazing hardcover Complete EC Library books that ran for the (then) crazy price of $200 each. At the time, they were the only EC reprints available. However, there were other less expensive books published. Here are three that I know of…

HORROR COMICS OF THE 1950’S – This was published in the early 1970’s and I assume it is a rare, collector’s edition now. Does anyone know of any collector selling copies?

TALES FROM THE CRYPT PAPERBACK – An early 1970’s reprint paperback that was sold in the Warren Magazines that I remember seeing in comic shops going for $10.

VAULT OF HORROR PAPERBACK – See above. Note: There was no Haunt of Fear paperback.

TALES FROM THE CRYPT MOVIE NOVELIZATION – Not a reprint, but a prose rendition of the stories the film was based on. This one is pretty rare. I believe it made a cameo in the classic Vault of Horror film.
