There have been a whole host of animated cartoon series. Some of them become forgotten as they were not as popular as other famous heroes. This has nothing to do with the quality of the series. It just a matter of the series simply not being released at the right time or getting the right exposure. Here is a brief tip of the hat to some of animated hero series that deserve another look. GHOST RIDER Ghost Rider is an odd hero for an animated series considered the dark origins of the character. However, the series has a slight cult which will surely keep its fanbase through eventual DVD releases.

SILVER SURFER

Does anyone remember the Silver Surfer animated series? Again, this was a character that does not necessarily lend itself well to the "upbeat" image commonly associated with animated series. And, really, there never was a character more downbeat and depressing like the Silver Surfer! The series wasn't downbeat....but it was offbeat. ========================================================================================
