What would a discussion about Watchmen be without at least mentioning Rorschach? Without a doubt, this character was the darkest and most nihilistic of all of them. Yet, he was the most realistic of all of them and the only character who was honest with himself. In his “coming clean” scene with his psychiatrist, we even learn he can be honest with others. This was not exactly a trait known to the other, more dysfunctional characters that make up the Watchmen world. Yes, Rorschach’s tale is one that is both grim and tragic.
