Would it not be positively criminal of me not to include a picture of Yvonne Craig since I just mentioned the DC Comics character Batgirl in a previous post? Let the truth be told: if it was not for Ms. Craig, Batgirl would have completely faded away as a serious comic character. While many do not think of Ms. Craig in this way, her most enduring legacy has been instilling interest in a comic character in a manner that has gone unabated for four decades. Make no mistake – It was her performance in the 1960’s TV series that resurrected the comic character and allows Batgirl to remain popular to this day.
