I didn’t want to give away much of the plot of BATMAN- BATTLE FOR THE COWL in my previous mentions of it mainly because I did not want to load up the blog with spoilers. Since the series had a certain air of mystery to it, I thought it would be best to avoid mentioning much of the plot centers on Jason Todd being a deranged Batman. Also, I did not know how the plot would play out since we were not 100% sure that it really was Jason Todd. Either way, it appears the crazy Batman was, indeed, Jason Todd and the third and final part of the series centers on his confrontation with Dick Grayson.

This is no cliched or silly confrontation as there is much introspection that occurs among the former Nightwing as he battles his one time replacement as Robin. Much of this introspection centers around how and why did Jason Todd go insane? Why did his life falter when Dick Grayson’s did not? The answer to this is basically left vague. As with most complexities in life, there is no clear and definitive answer to be found.

And did I forget to mention the ending sets up an incredibly intriguing new story arc for the foreseeable future?
